NORTH LIBERTY– Dr. Terry Wahls will bring her story of how proper nutrition, exercise, neuromuscular electrical stimulation and other health-promoting behaviors can improve the health of even those with chronic illnesses to North Liberty on Sept. 19 at First United Methodist Church, 85 N. Jones Blvd. in North Liberty, at 7 p.m. Dr. Wahls, a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, will speak from experience. She has multiple sclerosis.
The public is invited to hear Dr. Wahls’ story of how she went from needing a cane to becoming an avid bicyclist who walks her rounds at the hospital and who speaks regularly about defeating multiple sclerosis without drugs. The initial research focus will be on multiple sclerosis.
