Cedar Ridge celebrates long-awaited legislation and its most prestigious award

SWISHER– So far 2017 has been a very good year for Jeff Quint and his Cedar Ridge Winery and Distillery located near Swisher.

House File 607 allows Iowa distilleries to sell their products by the glass, and as cocktails, in their tasting rooms. Men’s 2017 basketball wrap-up

Hawk Talk

The Hawkeye men’s basketball team is coming off a 19-15 record, 10-8 in the Big Ten conference.
There is plenty of excitement around the Iowa program as the team included three freshman starters.
Also, only one starter graduated, but he was a great one in Peter Jok.
Pete became Iowa’s fifth Big Ten scoring champion, averaging 19.9 points per game. He also won the College 3-point Championship that took place at the Final Four festivities in Phoenix.
Pete was first team All-Big Ten, and as I have said before, I think he is the best pure shooter I have ever seen play for Iowa.
