Arling Langhurst

Arling K. Langhurst, 92, of North Liberty, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in his home with his family at his side. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arling was born July 25, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, to Fred and Eva (Chalupsky) Langhurst.
Survivors include his sons, Gary (Marilyn), Val (June) and Matt (Gail); and daughter, Connie (Gary) Tisl; grandchildren, Paul, Kristi, Regina, Andrea, Jay, Vanessa, Zowi, Max and Allison; and many great-grandchildren.

Ruth A. Heinsius, 79, of Marion, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her home. As per Ruth’s wishes there will be no services. A private family inurnment will be at a later date.


Phyllis Harrison

Phyllis M. Harrison, 82, of Dysart, formerly of rural Garrison, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center in Dysart. Services were held Dec. 31 at the United Methodist Church in Dysart. Burial was at the Dysart Cemetery.
Local survivors include Peggy (Jeff) Anderson of Solon.

Mick Lane Bertelli, 55, of Solon, died Dec. 26, 2012, at Mercy Iowa City. Services were held Dec. 30 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Bertelli of Solon; daughter, Courtney (Chris) Ressler of Shueyville; grandchildren, Harper Lane and Jacob Hayes Ressler; four brothers, Monty, Marty (Kathy), Murry and Mark (Lisa) Bertelli; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Curt and Sue Kieffer of West Branch; a sister-in-law, Wendy Bertelli of Hiawatha; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Frank Becicka Jr.

Frank “Buzz” Becicka Jr., 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, surrounded by his family. Celebration of Life gathering was held Dec. 27 at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel. Private family inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery.

Kevin Wilkerson of North Liberty passed away at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.
He is survived by his wife Natlie Kay Wilkerson; a daughter, Genevieve (and Jason) Migala; a grandson, Jackson Migala; and siblings Bob and Ann Wilkerson of Ottumwa, Norm and Sandy Wilkerson of Cedar Rapids, Cindy and Bill Wall of Minnesota, Dan and Kim Wilkerson of North Liberty, and Janice Wilkerson of Columbus, Ohio.
Kevin was the son of Shirley and Ed Wilkerson of Ottumwa.
Kevin was the proud owner of Quality PC and Quality Textile Printing of North Liberty.
