Solon Public Library

Support the library

The Solon Public Library Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 2004 to provide support for long term library services. The Foundation’s first project was to provide a Web-based catalog system. The online access allows patrons to browse the library catalog, reserve books and extend check out periods. Upgrading the digital capabilities of the library was also a part of the project.
The Foundation is currently looking to fill three positions on their board. The term for each position is three years.

Spring football Part Two

Last week I talked about the offensive line, as Iowa has to replace Brandon Scherff and Andrew Donnal.
This week I’ll talk about the tight ends and wide receivers.
Ray Hamilton, who had a solid career, graduates from tight end. Ray didn’t put up big numbers, as he had 29 receptions and three touchdowns for his career. He caught 18 passes his senior year and scored all three of his touchdowns last fall. He was a solid blocker and played as a true freshman.
Henry Krieger Coble (6-4, 250) and Jake Duzey (6-4, 248) are listed as co-starters. Both are seniors, have good hands and can block.
