IOWA CITY– The Johnson County Board of Supervisors, in coordination with the Johnson County Board of Health, voted to issue a resolution that, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, every person in Johnson County must wear a face covering when in a public place.
The resolution, signed Thursday, July 23, requires face coverings that cover the nose and mouth when:
• In public as opposed to being in one’s place of residence, when one cannot stay 6 feet away from others.
• Inside of any indoor public settings, for example, but not limited to:
- Grocery stores;
- Pharmacies;
