The experiment was a demonstration of the reactions when heat and cold are applied to water inside a container. The hands-on display manned by students in the University of Iowa’s Science Education program was just one of the many stations children and families could visit to learn more about scientific principles from all realms of science. For more photos of the event, see page A10. (photo by Lori Lindner)
