Jerry Allen Klingaman
Jerry Allen Klingaman, 64, formerly of Solon, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2014, in New Richmond, Wisconsin. A celebration of his life was held at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on June 27.
Jerry was born on Jan. 19, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Glenn and Eleanor Klingaman. Jerry attended Washington High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1969. Jerry retired from Cryovac in Cedar Rapids after 31 years as an electronic and instrument repairman. Jerry loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, camping or fishing in his boat. He also enjoyed snowmobiling the trails of Iowa, Wisconsin and the Rocky Mountains with family and friends. In his next life we feel he is most likely enjoying all of these activities.
Survivors include his son: Adam Sutherland of New Richmond, Wisconsin; sister: Gwynne Rosemon of Las Vegas, Nevada; brother: Michael (Linda) of Georgetown, Florida; two nephews: Mark Klingaman (Jamie), and Robert Klingaman (Shana); two nieces: Natalie Ault and Christine Jeschke (David); eight great-nephews and great-nieces.
Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Glen and Eleanor Klingaman of Cedar Rapids.
