Maxine E. Harris, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died July 2, 2012, at Manor Care Center following an extended illness. Funeral services were held July 7 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Local survivors include a sister, Avis (Richard) Serovy of Solon.
Maxine was born Feb. 17, 1926, in Allamakee County, the daughter of Mervil J. and Edith G. (Lovell) Rich. She was united in marriage to George H. Harris on Sept. 1, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. She retired after 32 years in assembly at Rockwell Collins.
