December book club selection
Circle Tuesday, Dec. 20, on your calendar and join the Solon Book Club at the library at 6:30 p.m. to discuss this month’s selected book, “Sarah’s Key,” by Tatiana de Rosnay. “Sarah’s Key” is an historical novel beginning in Paris in July, 1942. Sarah and her parents are taken by the French police in the middle of the night as they were going door to door arresting Jewish families. Sarah locked her brother in their secret hiding place and promised to come back for him. Sixty years later, as American Julie Jarmond is doing research on the roundup, she stumbles across a trail of secrets that link her to Sarah. This book will stay on your mind long after you’ve turned the last page. So why not join your friends to discuss this novel that has touched millions?
