Holiday book cart
There is a special holiday themed book cart in the hallway until Christmas. It features Christmas and winter-themed books for children and adults. Prices are reasonable and the items make a nice stocking stuffer.
Storytime will be meeting for the last time this month on Dec. 13. Miss Jen will have stories, rhymes, songs and crafts about winter. Storytime will then be taking a break for the rest of December and will resume at the usual spot on Jan. 3, 2012.
Tags for giving
There is a display located in the library lobby with tags designated for toys desired for the Salvation Army toy drive. To participate, select a tag for the gender and age of the person of your choice and shop for that item. Return the new, unwrapped item to the box in the lobby by Dec. 10 for pick-up by the Salvation Army; or deliver it, in person, to the Salvation Army office in Coralville by Dec. 14. Informational tags are also available for Project Homebound Holiday to provide gift certificates for low-income elderly and disabled adults sponsored by Elder Services and Goodwill. Deadline for those donations is Dec. 10.
