The old folk tale, Stone Soup, involves hungry travelers who persuade local townsfolk to give them food by introducing them to stone soup. They start out with a stone in a pot of water. Villagers add vegetables, meat and spices until they end up with a nourishing and delicious soup for all to enjoy. In the spirit of the Stone Soup tale, pantry supporters look forward to the community coming together to help feed our neighbors.
All funds raised will benefit the North Liberty Community Pantry. For information, contact executive director Tina DuBois at 319-626-2711, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.northlibertycommunitypantry.org.
