Seven CCA baseball players named to WaMaC All-Conference

Rourke, Bandy, Bowman earn First Team WaMaC West honors

TIFFIN– After closing out a season with the most hits, runs, highest team batting average, and the most wins in the history of the program, the Clear Creek Amana Clippers put seven men on the WaMaC West All-Conference Baseball rosters.
The conference released its 2015 list on Thursday, July 23.
Nile Rourke, Tanner Bandy and Travis Bowman were named to the First Team for the West Division.
Rourke, a senior infielder, had a .367 batting average with 36 hits, including three doubles and one triple and 14 RBI.
Bandy, a senior outfielder, had a .340 batting average with 33 hits, including seven doubles and one triple. He also batted in 23 runs.
Bowman, a senior utility player, hit with a .378 average for 28 hits. On the mound, Bowman went 3-3 with a 2.38 ERA.
Stephen Jensen and Robby Swails were Second Team picks with Jensen, a senior catcher, hitting with a .337 average for 31 hits including nine doubles, one triple and a pair of home runs. Jensen also drove in 16 runs this season.
Swails, a junior utility player, had a .352 batting average for 25 hits. On the mound, Swails went 0-2 with a 2.3 ERA.
Jake Neubauer and Kobey Schlotman were named to the Honorable Mention team.
Williamsburg’s Ben Grier was named the Division Coach of the Year.
