New catalog, new features

Now that the new catalog system is up and running, we hope you’re discovering some of the great new features of it. When you are searching for an item, you can now see the cover art for many selections on the right side of the screen. You can see quickly if the item is available, checked out, when it’s due and if there are any holds on it. After you sign in with your account number, if you click on the my account tab, you can quickly see how many items you have checked out, on hold, and if you have any outstanding fines. The items out tab also shows how many people are on the hold list for an item you have checked out. You can easily renew items from that screen as long as no other patron has a hold on that item. Clicking on the reserved items tab you can now see what number you are on the hold list. You can also activate a checkout history tab if you want to be able to see what items you have checked out. If you have an email address on file (my account tab) then you can set a day of the week to receive weekly reminders of what you have checked out, when due dates are, and any fines. If your email is not on file with the library, ask to have it added the next time you’re at the library.
