Free Veterans Day dinner Nov. 13

NORTH LIBERTY– The North Liberty American Legion Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a free Veterans Day dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 13 (so as not to conflict with the USO observance at Riverside Nov. 11).
Veterans and one guest can enjoy a roast pork dinner with all the trimmings. Registration begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and a program including a moving POW/MIA/Deceased veterans observance involving all five branches of the service. Live bagpipe music will be provided by North Liberty veteran Glenn Chatfield, and a video of today’s military will be accompanied by remarks from Maj. Gen. Robert Sentman, U.S. Army (ret).
